As applied to an Internet Opportunity, Job or Business, the term Affiliate usually consists of a person who has decided to become an affiliate in order to make money by promoting products and services on the Internet. This is known as Affiliate Marketing.

I never thought it possible to so completely Remove Cat Urine!

    My journey toward disability started about eleven or twelve years ago. That's when a chronic illness stopped me in my tracks and began to make it difficult for me to hold down a full-time job. I used to be a very productive individual in the building trade. I was a Flooring Installer with a reputation of working harder and faster than most people were willing to. I really loved my job because I could see the difference I made in improving the decor of a clients home. Work became more and more difficult as I was in constant pain and fatigued beyond that which I could have ever imagined. I went to my doctor who sent me to about six different specialists before they finally came up with a diagnosis. I had Fibromyalgia. Even with the diagnosis, I tried my best to keep working and earning a living for my family. But along with the Fibromyalgia came a host of other symptoms such as:

• Pain
• Exhaustion
• IBS
• RLS
• Brain Fog
• Immobility
• Depression
• Stress
• etc..., etc...

    It soon became apparent that I was going to have to change jobs. I moved to a position as a Flooring Consultant and Estimator working solely on commission. Due to my knowledge and experience in flooring, I was good at my job and I learned to love my new line of work. My new job was less physically demanding and I was able to accomplish more than my doctors could even imagine that I would be able to do. However, over the next few years my symptoms were growing worse each day. Although I refused to call in sick, there were many days when I really should have stayed home. I was not very productive on the bad days. I soon began to realize that I was not going to be able to keep up with the demanding pace of my work, and that I had better start looking for a way to earn a living that provided me with the freedom to work when I could, and to rest on the days when I couldn't.

    It is almost impossible to find jobs that are flexible enough for people with disabilities, but I was determined not to give in to my illness, and I started researching Online Biz Opportunities. It seemed logical to me that I could start an e-commerce web site and sell  merchandise on the Internet. I spent every free moment trying to build a successful Online Business. I took money from our savings to cover inventory, advertising, etc..., but I never made more money then I spent.

    I refer to this time in my life as my Internet Training. Some of these are complete scams and others are just products and programs that you won’t or can’t use, which makes them a bad investment. You should never have to pay money for  a half-baked program or an affiliate opportunity.

    If you have been looking into, or are currently trying to earn income Online, you have probably paid money for a product, service or wealth program that made you feel like you got burned. Can you make money with a VMC Satellite Dish Biz?

I am, and so can You!

    Let me start by telling you that most Internet Biz Sites are crammed full of Bull****. I can honestly tell you that I am now receiving regular Paychecks from VMC Satellite. The greatest aspect of having a successful “Online Dish Biz” is not the paychecks though. You see, I have been trying to build an Internet Biz for a few years (part-time, but more serious the past six months). And I have been able to earn a little money here and there, from affiliate programs that I have joined. I have had to work hard and smart to earn those small paychecks, but what has busted my chops and kept me going when other people might have given up is my wife. I wish that I could tell you that she was behind me all the way, encouraging me to succeed, but that would be an outright lie. She moaned and complained about all the time I was wasting on the Internet and how she just couldn’t imagine that I could make a living working on the computer without having a bunch of money to spend on advertising. She would often comment on how neglected she was because I was spending too much time on “that infernal machine”. She had always referred to my Internet Biz as “my little Hobby”. She just didn’t understand why I would spend so much time and work so hard trying to make a living on the Internet. It seemed impossible to her for me to overcome the “Big Boys” of Internet Marketing that had vast sums of money to spend on advertising. If I never accomplish the kind of success that some boastful web sites pretend you can achieve, I will always have the satisfaction of knowing that my wife thinks I am a success.

    If you have researched the “my dish biz” program you may be wondering if the claims they make are true. Well, as far as I am concerned, it would be dishonest for me to promise that you can Earn Up to $86,000 to $290,000 a Year from Your Home Computer (while adding small print at the end of the page, which states that although people have done it; it is very extraordinary and your results may not be as good)… I refuse to fill your head with bloviated nonsense about how you can begin to earn seven hundred dollars a day, almost overnight… or how “It Is” the easiest Job on the planet (although it is some of the easiest money I have ever made)… I refuse to promise that you can “work from home”, “in your pajamas”, with absolute freedom from a 9 to 5 J.O.B.… with more time for your family… while truly enjoying your job for the first time in your life… and it would be a total exaggeration to promise that you could accomplish all of these things with a cookie-cutter web site while simply opening an adwords account and staring a PPC campaign (with just the perfect keywords)... deep down inside, everyone knows that the owners of the web sites that make these incredible claims are full of hot air.

    Starting and maintaining an Online Biz definitely takes some work. But as long as you are willing to work a little, and learn the methods that you will be comfortable using to promote your VMC Satellite Dish Biz, you can begin to earn some extra money. Once you have built a community of sub-affiliates to work with, you will begin to earn a more consistent income. I also make money from some of the other affiliate programs that I promote, but VMC Satellite is the most consistent so far.

5 Steps to Area Rug Behavior – No More Wrinkles, Buckles and Bunching ever again

Your new area rug can be a joy or a nightmare. Here are 5 steps to Area Rug Behavior. 5 tips to help you rid yourself of wrinkles, buckles and bunching forever.

1. Buy a Decent Area Rug

Area Rugs are often bought as an impulse item. When you need a rug to accent your décor or to cover an ugly spot, don’t give in to the temptation of buying a chain store special, based on color and price only. An area rug should be a well thought décor item, not a cheap after-thought. You don’t have to break the bank. Most good quality wool fiber rugs are available in style and qualities that will fit most any budget. Fine quality wool fiber area rugs can be purchased Online and shipped right to your front door for about the same price as those chain store pretenders.

1. Buy a New Zealand Wool Fiber Area Rug

Wool Fiber that has been shorn from New Zealand sheep is the best fiber for an area rug. Why a New Zealand sheep? Because they have been bred to produce “carpet quality” wool fiber. An area rug of New Zealand wool fiber will be soft on the feet and extremely durable. Most stains are not a problem; simply blot gently with clear warm water for best results.

1. Make sure it is at least 12mm or More- pile density

An area rugs density will play an important role in its life and performance. A flimsy cotton or olefin (polypropylene) rug or a runner without a secondary backing is nothing but trouble. A rug without sufficient density will wrinkle, warp, buckle and bunch. Not to mention the battle for possession that takes place when you try to vacuum it. The vacuum almost always wins this battle as you try using your feet to keep it under submission and out of the suction tube. I don’t know anyone who enjoys constantly adjusting and straightening their rugs. If you buy a rug with sufficient pile density (or weight) it will remain where you place it and behave when you vacuum. I prefer rugs of at least 12mm. Especially if they are to be placed over wall-to-wall carpet. Buy a dense rug and let gravity keep it in position and under control.

1. Cotton or Jute Backing is preferred

Although cotton or jute backing is preferred, many rugs are manufactured with a secondary backing. I prefer rugs that are woven without the secondary backing. Because you can tell if it’s a good quality rug when you can detect the pattern of the rug while looking at it from the back. Whether a rug is machine-made or hand-knotted it has to be woven into something. Cotton or jute is preferred, but polypropylene mesh is fine when used in the backing of a rug (but never the face fiber). However; some rugs need that secondary backing to add density and weight. Also consider how the are rug is bonded. Single backed area rugs only need a small amount of latex to keep them bonded while secondary backing rugs need more latex to secure the backing material. If the rug maker uses synthetic latex for bonding, your nose will be happy. It will only have a new rug smell for a short period of time. If your rug maker uses a lot of real latex to secure a secondary backing, it will most likely stink of burnt rubber for years to come. Especially when the weather gets hot. Most noses and eyes are sensitive to real latex in larger doses. If you have chemical sensitivities, stick to single backed area rugs that don’t use heavy applications of synthetic latex.

1. Don't place Heavy Furniture on your Area Rugs

Area rugs are often intended to define and delineate space. If your rug is too big for the area you are decorating you will be tempted to tuck the edges of the rug under your heavier pieces of furniture. When heavy furnishings are placed on an area rug they can often cause bunching and wrinkling where the furniture legs are indenting their selves into your rug. This can cause the most beautiful and expensive rugs to look cheesy and warped. Indents, wrinkles and warping of rugs from heavy furnishings can also become more permanent. To avoid costly rug repairs down the road, keep four to six inches of distance from heavy furniture. (Coffee tables are fine; sofas, hutches and entertainment systems are a definite no-no). Although not often. Some rug applications may result in the need for a dense and firm rug pad (or cushion). I always suggest the use of all-felt or synthetic all-felt rug pads.

Avoiding the hassles of wrinkles, buckles and bunching in your area rug is as easy as pie when you consider applying these 5 tips. Your new area rug can be a joy or a nightmare. Always buy good quality (not museum quality) New Zealand wool fiber area rugs with a single woven and bonded cotton or jute backing, and never place it under any heavy furniture. Internet Time and Dog Years

Measuring Time and Space on the Web for Affiliate Promotions

    Time was not on my side this week so I was unable to finish this weeks lesson in Internet Affiliate Marketing. With taxes due, car problems and a Fibromyalgia flare, I suddenly realized I didn't have the Time to finish it. So I wrote this blog post in hopes of helping someone gain perspective in their Affiliate Biz...

    As a Christian, I look forward to the day when the angel mentioned in the book of Revelation 10:6, that there should be time no longer. Many theologians interpret this to mean the completion of God's Work with men, but I have a different view of this verse that is related to this quote from Mathew Henry "That when this mystery of God is finished time itself shall be no more, as being the measure of things that are in a mutable changing state; but all things shall be at length for ever fixed, and so time itself swallowed up in eternity". I can foresee a "time" when we are no longer held by the grip of time and space as we understand it. This could have profound implications concerning the things we shall be able to accomplish as we cross over into eternity. However this is not my main topic for this blog post. This is merely a preface as to our perception of "Internet Time".

    As an Affiliate Marketer, I have come to understand and embrace the fact that any promotion, web site or advertising I initiate on the Internet is going to take some time to become active. How much time it takes depends on many factors with the search engines being at the top of the list. I hear people speak of "Real-Time" functions of the Internet and often laugh. There are a few things that we can do on the web that can be done in real-time, but there is always a lapse of time when you are trying to promote a product or service Online. Once you have assembled a web site, advertisement, or landing page, you can expect a certain amount of time to pass before it gets listed by the search engines. Unless you have vast resources of money to throw into an ad campaign, you will just have to wait for your content to eventually be listed in search engine results. The amount of time it takes to be indexed and listed will depend largely on your content and niche, although there are many other factors that come into play.

    On my Affiliate Lessons web site, I teach people how to quickly assemble promotions to web pages, blog posts and landing pages, but by no means does that translate into instant results. You can always expect a certain amount of lag time between the time that your promotion goes live, to the day that you begin to get visitors to your site. It could be days or it could be months depending on the quality and popularity of your content and the popularity of the site you have posted your promotion on. As you learn improved methods of promotion, you can cut back the amount of time that it takes to be listed in search results, but you can never fully control it. The first web site I built (many years ago) took months to be listed in search results. The recent sites I have built have only taken a few days. I will eventually get to some lessons on this subject. For now, I am simply making a comparison of time for a marketers expectation versus the real world of "Internet Time".

    We always have preconceived notions of time, but they are rarely accurate. Patience is truly the virtue of an Internet marketer. An example of the distortion of time as we understand it can be readily found as we grow into and past adulthood. When I was a child an hour seemed to be a perfectly legitimate portion of time to accomplish my goals. I would ask my mother or father if I could go and play with friends for awhile, and one hour was usually my parents allotted time span. This was perfectly adequate for me as a child because I could accomplish a vast amount of play in one hour. As I passed into adulthood and into my senior years, my conception of an hour of time has vastly changed. I am reminded of my grand-father who tried to pass a tidbit of wisdom to me when I was young. On more than one occasion he stated that "the older you get, the faster time passes". I am now a grand-father, and I have a deep appreciation for the wisdom of that statement. The older I get, the faster time seems to pass.

    Another example of our preconceived notions of time can be found when we consider Dog Years as compared to human years. At some point in our maturity, we come to understand that dogs do not age at the same rate as humans. It is said that dogs age seven years for every one human year. It can be a sad day in the life of a child who realizes that his pet will not be able to grow old with him. But this is all a part of the human experience. A good healthy dose of the reality of time can either inspire us or immobilize us. If a housefly had human perspective, and was able to consider its life span, which is usually about twenty four hours, it would most likely give up and simply wait for death to come.

    We must therefor be considerate of time, while never allowing our perception of time to cause us to waste this valuable resource. The Bible clearly teaches that mankind has a limited resource of time. God describes our entire life as if it were a cloud that suddenly vanishes when the wind breaks upon it. So, understanding that our time is limited, we must endeavor to wisely use every moment that God has given to us.

    We are wonderfully created by God in order that we may learn the value of our own soul and the souls of those entrusted to us. To Love God and to Serve Others are our loftiest goals. May God grant us the wisdom to understand and "redeem" our time so that not one moment is wasted. As I consider how time and space affect my goals and desires, let me always choose to spend more time in pursuit of God's best gifts for my life.     As Affiliate Marketers, we must view Online Biz from a realistic perspective of time, unless you get very lucky and happen into a very needy niche you will probably not see instant results. There have been marketers that have "hit the jackpot" with just the perfect niche, keywords and product for a very hungry audience of buyers, but I have yet to accomplish such a feat. "Show Me the Money" - Can you make money in the Satellite Dish Biz? Yes I Can, and You Can too!

    I just received my first Paycheck as an Affiliate for VMC Satellite and I couldn't be more excited. I was a bit reluctant to join and promote VMC Satellite due to the manner in which the "MyDishBiz" marketing team is advertising their affiliate opportunity. I was unhappy with the misleading information on their web site which definitely triggered the word "Scam" in my head and my heart. I have been an affiliate marketer for a few years now and I knew that much of what they promised was nothing but marketing hype. I also knew that you did not need to pay money to be involved in an Affiliate Biz Opportunity. I further knew that all the advertising and search engine promises they were making to people was a bunch of hogwash that only applied to them, and would Not benefit any affiliate that would pay to join their program. I was further afraid that the Satellite Dish market was already over saturated and that people might not be buying very many Dish Systems due to the economy. But, I decided to test the market and get involved in the "Satellite Dish Biz" mostly as an experiment, so that I could more wisely advise the people who were asking me about the legitimacy of "MyDishBiz".

    Now that I am an affiliate for VMC, and I am starting to make money, I can now verify with the people who have consulted with me, that the Satellite Dish Biz can produce an income for you, if you are willing to put in some work and also learn how to effectively market on the Internet without being dishonest or amoral.

    My journey into the Satellite Dish Biz came as a result of people consulting me about whether or not "MyDishBiz" is a Scam. I am a bi-vocational Baptist minister and Pastor of a small church. Because my small (but growing) church cannot pay me a full time income, I began working on the Internet with various Free Affiliate Programs. When a number of people asked my advice about the "DishBiz" that was being heavily marketed, I researched the "MyDishBiz" affiliate program, and began to test the market. If times get really tough I could go door-to-door selling this product. I could also promote this product locally in the newspaper or with local cable advertisements (which are not that expensive).

I decided I would promote this opportunity using Only the Internet. I placed a few lines of content on my web site and blogs about how people did not have to pay to join the VMC Affiliate (home based) Job Opportunity. That they had the option to join for Free.

It was then brought to my attention that many of the people who were joining the affiliate program through my efforts did not really know much about affiliate marketing on the Internet.

I began building a web site to support and help people who are new to Internet Affiliate Marketing (often referred to as "newbies").

Within a couple of months I had over one hundred sub-affiliates who had joined through my web site or blog. So now I make a small commission each time one of my sub-affiliates makes a sale. The money I am making right now is from sub-affiliate sales only. I have not been pushing the product myself, because I wanted to see if the program could be sustainable using Only the Internet and using honest and legitimate methods of promotion.

    As I wrote at the beginning of this post; "I could not be more excited". People are beginning to make extra money using this program and I am sharing a small commission each time they make a big commission. The reason this causes me joy is that this method is the same method that is used to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There is always Great Joy when someone recognizes their need for Christ through our puny efforts. It's never about the money... It's about helping the people you come in contact with each day. It is a total rush of happiness to know that you have played a small part in God's Plan to Improve a person's life.

    I must admit that it is nice to get a check in the mail (I certainly need the money), but "my Joy" is knowing that I have helped someone else improve their life by adding to their income. Life can never be centered around the pursuit of money because money is temporary (we cannot take it with us when we die); However, it is a necessity of life, and can play a role in serving the real and Eternal Needs of the people that God brings into our life.

    To sum things up: I can honestly tell you that the VMC Satellite Affiliate Program is one of the best around, and you can make some extra money if you are willing to work for it. I am not making near the amount of money they "suggest" on the "MyDishBiz" web site. But I haven't really poured my heart and soul into this project either. A modest amount of effort has produced a modest income. The potential to make more is up to me and how hard I wish to work for it.

Learning to Excel with Chronic Illness - Overcoming the Blahs, Blues and Depression

    An Optimist calls it the Blahs

    A Pessimist call it the Blues

    A person who is giving up calls it Depression

    My Blog entry today is partly a method of therapy that I have learned to implement on troublesome days, and partly an attempt to help those who may be suffering through transition in their life due to illness, financial decrease, family troubles or any other circumstance that would threaten to overwhelm your Mind, Will, and Emotions.

    It has been a very tough year for me, as my life is in a constant state of transition due Fibromyalgia and the Economy. When it comes to my job, I have always tried to follow the Bible principle that states, "whatever labor you do with your hands, do it with all your might". I have always tried to give more then was expected of me. I have always tried to excel beyond other people's expectations for me. The chronic pain and fatigue of Fibromyalgia has limited my abilities and at times I feel somewhat worthless. Some days I am not even able to achieve my own expectations, much less those of others. Feeling inadequate can definitely affect your mind, will and emotions. It is a constant daily struggle to remind ourselves that God can help us overcome, even in the worst circumstances.

    When we are weak:

2Co 12:10  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

    The Bible is my only solace on days like today, when I feel weak and useless. Learning to Excel when we feel like Crap is truly a battle for our will. God's Word tells us that His Grace is sufficient to cover our Need. My Mind and Emotions are trying to tell me that I Need to stay in bed and hide from the world of my troubles. But God's promise is that I can overcome the negative thinking and depressive emotions that cause most people to give up and give in to their problems, because it is not only illness that brings such thoughts and feelings, but any transition that takes place in our lives. Our minds and emotions do not like change. But change is the only constant in God's universe. When we are suffering through transitions in life, we must remember that God can use our weakness to bring Him Glory. If we allow ourselves to be used of God, even on the days that our problems would overwhelm us, He will make a positive out of a negative. "When we are weak", God is able to show His strength to give us the power to overcome. What is your problem today? Is it an illness, a lost job or a dysfunctional relationship? As humans beings, we have a very narrow and limited view of life and we sometimes cannot imagine how God can work a miracle for us in our present state of being. The Bible assures us that God sees and knows all things pertaining to our life, and that He has the power to turn our weakness into His strength (if we are willing to abide in Him). God's principles for living our lives are the only effective means of overcoming our thoughts, actions and motives. Here are three techniques to help rid ourselves of thoughts and feelings of defeat that can limit our ability to work on the tasks that need to get done (no matter how we feel). 

2Co 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2Co 10:6  And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

    Affirmative Thoughts:

    God reminds us here that we cannot allow our thoughts of illness, needs, distresses, etc... to overwhelm us. We must take a firm stance in our own responsibility to control our own thoughts. Affirmative and Godly thinking is the beginning of the process that leads to victory over any circumstance. Control your thoughts instead of allowing them to control you and thereby affecting your emotions.

   Emotional Control:

    These verses are also a reminder that if we allow our emotions to control us, we are elevating our thoughts above the thoughts of God Himself. Are we smarter than God? No, we do not have the knowledge or foresight that God possesses. When we allow ourselves the "luxury" of negative thoughts and emotions, we are basically saying that God is not strong enough or smart enough to help us in our time of need. Our emotions take over when we neglect that God is in complete control and that He does have Love for us that gives us the power and the will to overcome. Don't allow your emotions to hold you hostage. Take control of your emotions with affirmative thoughts and God will be able to give us His Power.

    Will to Obey, Obey to have Will:

    When we speak of the human will, we are speaking of a person's active decision making process. How will you decide to function and live today> Many of us are tempted to give up when times get tough. This is due to human conditioning that we are essentially helpless and hopeless unless we have health, money and influence. You have been conditioned by life to expect less than God is willing to give you. God loves you and wants to give you Joy, Peace and Plenty. However, we often cannot receive God's Best, because we feel like we are at our Worst. Controlling your Thoughts gives you power to win back your positive emotions. It is only when we have allowed God to rescue us from our selfish thinking and emotions that we then have the power to make positive decisions that can not only help us, but will also be a great influence on the people around us. Bring every thought under control that you may be on top of your emotions and actually accomplish something worthwhile today... Something that has eternal value.

    What we learn here, and what I am reminding myself of, is the fact that we have to choose how we will think, feel and act each day. Will we give in to temptation and lay in bed thinking of our terrible problems and how they are not allowing us to function because we are so depressed. Or will we seize upon God's promise of Victory through the process of controlling our thoughts, actions and decisions? God wants us to be happy, at peace and actively involved in steering the course of our life... Don't let Anything stand in the way of your Blessings. Not Illness, Not Money, and certainly not the Actions and Decisions of other people. Take Control and Take Action to Receive God's Blessings of Abundance.

    I did not feel well when I woke up today. I did not think I could do my job. I did not have motivation to work and help others. I did not have anything positive to add to my life or the life of my family and friends until I reminded myself that God is in control and that He has the power to give me the complete victory over my Illness by learning what His Word teaches about the human soul and our responsibility to use His Strength to Overcome my thoughts, emotions and will... I Now have my day back and I feel so much better.

     I try to provide a new lesson each week but I have not been able to accomplish much this last week. I wanted to write the next lesson for my website but I am in the midst of a pretty severe Fibromyalgia Flare and can barely function when it hits me. Part of the reason I got into Affiliate Marketing was because I have a chronic illness with constant pain and fatigue that sometimes incapacitates me to the point that I am unable to perform any real physical labor. I continue to work, but some days I might as well not even be there because I feel that I am not useful enough. Although I now have physical limitations that I have had to learn to adapt to, I can still type on the computer. It is only when the pain and fatigue are so bad that I have trouble concentrating that I feel really useless. I suppose this feeling is normal for a person with chronic illness, but it does not make life any easier. My Faith is continually tested as I pray for strength to accomplish the things I need to do each day.
    The Apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 12; that he also had a chronic condition and he called it a “thorn in the flesh”. He prayed three times for God to heal him, but instead of healing, God’s response was that “His Grace” was sufficient to overcome Paul’s condition. In other words, God told Paul that although He was not going to remove his illness, He would provide him with Grace to Cope with and overcome his condition.

    God’s Grace is His Power to accomplish His Will in this world, even when we are bombarded with illnesses, sufferings, grief’s and sorrows that we think we are not able to cope with. If we will allow God to work His Grace in our Soul (mind, will and emotions), He is able to loan us a bit of His Power to overcome any obstacle that lies in the path of our ability to do what is right, honest and good. This is the power to do a vast amount of Good in the world. Most people believe that God’s Grace is confined to spiritual matters. But this same Grace is the power we need to succeed in our Jobs and Businesses too.

    As a minister and pastor, my goal is to help people learn to tap into God’s Grace by applying the Principles in His Word to Control our thoughts, stabilize our emotions and produce good quality decisions. When we learn techniques and methods to apply God’s Word in our daily lives, we improve them by two-hundred percent. My goal for Online Biz is pretty much the same; To help people learn practical techniques and methods to ultimately improve their Quality of Life. Our lives will never be perfect, spiritually or financially, but we can improve our lives by applying Godly Principles to our thoughts, motives and actions in our personal lives and in business. It is a lofty goal, but certainly achievable. God has promised to improve our life in every way, if we will only Apply His methods to our thoughts, actions and motives.

    By following the Principles of “sowing and reaping” that are explained in the Bible, we may be certain that the seeds of business that we sow, with each link in each promotion, will eventually produce fruit. As a farmer plants seeds in a field and waits for God to provide the sunlight and rain while the farmer tends to his garden, we also can be assured that God will provide our needs as we promote products and services that meet the needs of the people around us.

    As long as we place the needs of others above our own self interest, we can expect that God will give us the Victory over all of the negative aspects of living life on this planet. No matter who we are or what we may be suffering at the moment, God has the techniques and methods we need to Overcome our own shortcomings and live a more abundant life. A more abundant life may not include mountains of money for us to selfishly indulge our desires, but He will always provide the things we truly Need to live a lifestyle that is more abundant, along with the ability to share ourselves and our abundance with people who are presently in greater need than we are.
    My family always tried to teach me that my life would be much easier if I would only work “within the system“ by obeying the rules of my authorities. There is no greater authority then God and My God has taught me that I can avoid much of the sufferings that I see around me, by following His System of Operation in my life. Many of us would like to enjoy the freedom that comes with starting and operating your own business. The true definition of freedom is: The ability to do what is right, honest and ethical so that God may improve our lives.

    If we are to be successful in any area of our life, we must avoid the temptation to take “shortcuts” to success and be involved with Scams and Unethical marketing techniques. Our desire to help other people succeed in life should be the driving force in our business. If we sincerely approach people with solutions to their needs, they will automatically provide us with what we need for ourselves. Keep the needs of others in mind when marketing your affiliate programs and you will eventually see the benefits.

Anybody that has an Online Biz should have an active Blog - Don't neglect it.

    This is what I tell each of my clients, when I help them set up a web site, and yet, I have been so busy writing content and marketing other people's Internet Biz's that I have been neglecting this blog. I know I should carve out a slice of time each day to write something in my blog. But many times I allow other matters to interfere with that goal.

    If you have an online business, actively writing to your business blog could account for a significant number of visitors to your web site. We have to keep in mind that our web sites are limited in audience. We have purposely made the content on our web site unique to the type of visitors we would like to see. A blog has no such limitations and allows greater flexibility to write about various topics and to review various items. If we do this on a regular basis, we will attract a wider audience to our blog and more visitors to our web site. And because most blogs are syndicated, more of your blog contents get sent out into the vast unknown of the Internet. So keep your blog updated and full of useful content, and I can almost guarantee you will get more visits to the web site of your choosing.

    Okay, here is my most recent excuse for not blogging as I should. I am an affiliate marketer and I have many sub-affiliates that are signed up under me for various Biz Op's. I always try to stay in contact with my sub-affiliates and try to help them learn the ropes of Internet Marketing and Promotions. This always meant that I would spend hours writing and answering emails on certain subjects. I decided that there must be a better way. So I built a web site where I can post lessons on Internet Affiliate Marketing at least once per week. I have already added several lessons on the site, and as people join the site (it's Free), I am seeing less of my time being eaten up with emails and phone calls. I should have thought of this a long time ago.

    Huge satellite dishes used to be a symbol of status. Dish technology has changed this forever. Everything connected with dish satellite is smaller and better and can even be installed in a rented or leased home or apartment. The only thing that is getting bigger is the size of your television screen. Those ten foot monster dishes are only worthy of the scrap heap. High Definition and DVR are here to stay and TV life has never been better. "My Dish Biz" is all over the Internet right now, and for good reason, people deserve a better media experience and a chance to make extra cash.

    Dish Satellite Television is leaping above the pack in service, quality and options. My first satellite dish was a monster that engulfed about one-third of my backyard. It had to be aimed directly and precisely to the satellite I wanted to view and then it had to be fine tuned to get the best reception. This required a receiver unit, a tuner unit and a satellite positioning unit (plus another black box, if I wanted to watch certain channels). At the time, this was thought to be hi-tech stuff, and a person was actually proud that everyone for miles around could see the behemoth ten-foot satellite dish, it was a symbol of status. The truth is, that we lived on the side of a mountain in a somewhat remote location so if we wanted any kind of decent television to watch, this was our best option at the time. It sure beat continuously turning a rectangular antennae that we previously had mounted atop a thirty foot pole. The truth is, that I am happy to finally be rid of my huge eyesore and all the cables and equipment it took to operate it.

    There have been huge leaps in satellite television technology since then. Satellite dishes are now no larger than 20 inches and can be placed in an obscure area on your roof. Large satellite dishes are no longer a symbol of status. Today is the age of Big Screen television. We purchased our big screen (54 inches) about two years ago. It came with High Definition capability, but at the time I did not know what I was missing, so I did not bother to check into HD programming. I never watched a lot of television until the past couple of years. First I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, and my age is starting to really slow me down. After a day at work, I am wiped out, and it has become more likely for me to spend the evening watching the big screen TV. It was nice to have a big screen TV, but nothing special.

    Until the day that my big screen television was hooked up to high definition dish programming. Now all I can say is WOW! What a difference HD makes. The clarity of high definition television is about two-thirds better than traditional television. Combine this with a greater selection of decent channels to watch, a simple surround sound system and a DVR (which was free) and WOW! I feel absolutely spoiled rotten, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I even have a remote control that operates every piece of media equipment I own. I even got rid of my stereo unit because everything is now "hooked up" to the television. You used to have to posses five to eight different units for different kinds of media. With modern big screen televisions and a DVR combined with a simple surround sound system, you can do it all from the comfort of your chair and one universal remote control (the remote control is the only technology that has not been reduced in size, and that is simply because it controls everything). Between these three pieces of equipment I can watch, record and playback HD television. I can listen to my favorite music on dish satellite or plug my ipod right into the television. I can also view all the digital pictures I have of my grand-children by inserting an SD-Card into the ready made slot. I can even hook my PC directly to my big screen for awesome gaming or detailed graphic manipulation. I am really not a lazy person, these capabilities just free up more of my time for important things. Once you have it all set up, you control it all from anywhere in the room. There are even remote programming capabilities using the Internet or your cell phone (I haven't tried those yet).

    I mentioned set up, so let's take a moment to discuss that. The thought of having a new satellite dish installed probably delayed my decision about as much as anything else. When I got my first ten foot monster dish back in the nineties, it took several men several days to assemble, install, wire and tune all of the gigantic pieces of hardware that it took to simply operate the television. I had to pay the "satellite technician" several hundred dollars for his time, as well as supplying volunteer workers for the assembly and installation. When I finally made the decision to get "hooked up" with Dish TV, They sent a very young man to install everything. To my surprise and delight, he was able to install set up and fine tune everything almost as fast as he could explain how to use the remote control. Installation came Free with the dish package I signed up for, and it truly was, a surprise and delight.

    I am a simple and humble working drone like every other red-blooded American. I work hard for every dollar I earn and I believe that service is just as valuable as products. Self-serve has become an American way of life. I miss the days of gas station attendants that would pump your gas and check your car, hostesses and waiters that would attend to your desires and even bank tellers that you could have a decent conversation with. Today, we have to build our own furniture, pump our own gas, serve our own food and just try to get a real person on the phone when you need them (all you get is a maze of recorded prompts). The "kid" who installed my dish system would have spent the whole day with me, just explaining how everything worked. That means a lot to a man like me.

    If you are half the media hound that I am, you owe it to yourself to check out the features and offers that dish TV has for you.     The entire flooring industry has become stagnant. The cause, as explained by many in this industry, is the combined effect of Crude oil prices and the current economical complexities that have disrupted an entire nation of consumers. Most flooring products are dependant on petroleum distillates (crude oil products) in the manufacturing process and resulting product. Nowhere is the bond between crude oil prices and flooring prices more prevalent than in the soft-surface market. Carpet and carpet cushions have nearly doubled in cost in the past two years. Most consumers are unaware of the effect that oil prices have had on this market, and exhibit great distress when shopping for new carpet for their home. The flooring industry has tried to compensate for the growing costs of raw materials by offering carpet products that do not depend so heavily on petroleum. Over the past few years they have tapped into recycled PET plastics and micro-fiber technology (PTT Yarn) that depends on corn oil rather than crude oil. This has controlled costs to some extent, but raw material prices still continue to soar beyond that which anyone could have anticipated.

    A portion of these costs can be attributed to the state of our economy as a whole. As prices rise beyond that which is affordable by the average household, we could always count on financing to make up the difference in a families "disposable" income. The current economic crisis, whose onset can be traced to greedy people offering "creative" financing for so much of the real estate market, has virtually yanked the rug out from under our feet. Whereas, under normal circumstances, we might be able to offer financing to cover the additional cost of new carpet even this option becomes unviable as an additional method to sustain flooring sales. We watch as one dealership after another folds under the pressure, and pray that we are not next in line.

    The greed of corporate America has caused a great calamity to befall us. This becomes more and more apparent as congress and the senate search for a possible way to repair our broken economy. As hard as they may try, we will not see the benefits of any solution for a distant time to come. We cannot completely repair a broken economy until we ascertain the cause. Corporate greed has been and continues to be at the root of our current crisis. Until small to medium sized businesses are able to wrestle back some level of control over corporate giants, we will all suffer under their tyrannical rule. Large corporations have stolen the means and method by which most small businesses are able to sustain themselves. The evidence of greed and lack of concern for small business can be clearly seen whenever a corporation decides to open a new outlet in any given geographical area. We can watch as a dozen small businesses fold whenever a superstore opens it's doors to the public. Large chains of stores that allow you to buy directly from a manufacturer instead of buying those same products from your friends and neighbors in small businesses. This always has the stench of greed. I can't remember the exact words, but last week a politician proclaimed that it was our patriotic duty to dig deep into our pockets, and bail out corporate America. How dare he even speak such words. We have already paid our debt in taxes, insurance and finance charges. They dug the hole, let them fill it. We would not be in this mess if it weren't for the selfishness and greed of those corporations that placed us in peril. And yet, it is our selfish greed that has spawned the corporate beast. That's correct you and I have spawned this monster through our desire to save money on products. This is the mechanism that spawned the corporate beast, it is our own desire for selfish gain. And the monster could not continue to exist without our help. Every time we choose to shop at a super-store or factory outlet, we feed the beast a little more. As it grows it continues to devour our economy. But we pretend ignorance, and proclaim our outrage, that our government did nothing to protect us from it. The government did not spawn this monster of greed, how can we expect the government to save us from ourselves. We live in a republic which allows us freedom of choice, and we continue to choose to feed the beast.

    I am old enough to remember a time when manufacturers would only sell products through small business. This was a time of shared wealth in America. It was a practice by which every community was able to share in part of the wealth. There used to be an attitude of integrity and a willingness to allow small business to share in the overall wealth of our great nation. No self respecting company would even think of bypassing their retailers in order to keep all the profits to themselves. It used to be common practice for corporations to establish joint ventures and affiliations with local small business so that both parties could benefit. It was thought to be absolutely anti-business to go over a dealer's head, and directly sell your products, and to keep the resulting profit. Many flooring dealers were specialty stores that were the only ones allowed to carry a certain line of products within a geographical area. In fact you may have been the only dealer for a manufacturers product in your home town. Dealers were loyal to the manufacturer and customers were loyal to a dealer that exhibited integrity. Things have certainly changed for the worse. Corporations have dealt a death blow to distributors, dealers and retailers throughout the United States. To top that off, they want to add to their profit margins by using cheap foreign labor in the manufacture of far too many items. Corporations have virtually stripped small and medium sized business of their ability to sell any item and make a profit. Factory direct stores are popping up all over, and robbing retailers of their fair share of the profit. With the current crises our financial institutions are enduring, they now threaten to take even more out of our ability to run a business, by removing a dealer's ability to receive or offer financing. We need to consider the cost of our greed. Our desire to save a few dollars by buying directly from the manufacturer is the catalyst that closes the door on small business and costs people their jobs. Would you be willing to spend a few dollars more on a product to insure that your spouse keeps their job or your neighbors retail store stays open. Consider the toll that greed and selfishness has taken on our society. It has cost us our wealth, our livelihood and our integrity as a nation. Seriously consider boycotting these super-stores, direct stores and outlets. When we shop at these places, we pay a horrible premium in humanity under the disguise of saving some money. What is more important, people or products?

    We can only pray that this will be a wake up call for all of America. We need to re-build our American labor force and be willing to share our wealth with small business. We need to re-establish "made in the USA" as the quality standard for all other nations in the world to follow. We need to become self sufficient for raw materials needed to manufacture our goods and let American hands assemble them. We need to use our own plentiful wind, solar, coal and natural gas to power our nation, and keep our wealth for the people of our own nation. If we don't, we will continue to see greed strip away the remainder of our wealth and morals, until there is nothing of value that remains.

    We cannot allow government to slap a band-aid onto the gaping, infected wound of our economy. Greed has become the driving force in our economy, and it reflects in the thoughts and attitudes of our children and grand-children. We need to stop this monster before it devours our Country. Some may ask how we would even attempt such a monumental task. The answer lies in America's core values. We need to repent of this evil and return the the core values that built this nation. We need to be unashamed to say "In God We Trust"! When you start at that position, the only way to build is up. Our economy is a reflection of our character whether we like it or not. Rebuilding our character will lead us to the path that we must now follow. We are American citizens, and we do not need the government to pass legislation that simply puts the beast on life support, we have the power of government within us, and our destiny is in our own hands. It is the power of choice. If we recognize the beast for what it is, then we already know what needs to be done. We simply allow the beast to consume itself. It has grown far too large for us to feed it any longer. Let it consume itself and we will rebuild upon the remains of it's carcass. We will build a new unselfish America, that has the genuine concern for our fellow citizens at it's core.

My original intent for this writing was to simply report on rising carpet prices...

It seems as though I may have strayed slightly from my intent. Yet I cannot content myself with a mere report when the need is so great and the consequences are already at hand. Please join me in support of mankind. People will always be more important than products and the price of a product can never attest to it's true value. The most valuable product on earth is a person's soul. Greed has no soul and therefore it has no value or purpose. We have a soul, and that is to be treasured above all things. We can judge the value of the human soul by the price God has paid to redeem it.

    Could the hallmarks of Prudent and Mature Home Decor be ascertained by that which we choose to walk on? It does not take much insight to observe the difference between the arbitrary and trendy fashion frequenter, and the thoughtful, more prudent home decorator. One of the most notable signs of prudent home decor is the practical choice and application of Area Rugs as they are scattered among similar evidences of design. Therefore, it is at this junction that I will hazard a comparison of the two endeavors and how they approach their inevitable result.

    As we inherently mature in thought and emotion, and as we grow in quality of character, the choices we make in designing a space should naturally follow suit. There are basically two approaches at interior decoration and they differ as light unto darkness when based upon this premise. The one approach is youthful, arbitrary and full of whimsy. The other approach is mature, prudent and pragmatic. Both approaches address the same issue of home decor aesthetics, but by no means are they remotely similar. The phenomena is best gauged by comparing the living space of a teenager to that of their parent. While the room of a teenager may be charming and whimsical, hardly ever would you describe it as an attempt at professional home decoration or design. When we contrast this trendy style with the thoughtful abode of the parent we see some very striking differences in result. Yet it is the cause that intrigues me more than the result. It is the cause that separates the amateur from the professional, and not vice-versa. I am persuaded that maturity plays a large roll in the differing results. And yet, could maturity alone explain how two people, given the same criteria and budget, could end their task with such markedly divergent results? For the time at hand I will concentrate my comparison on those factors that are materially evident between the two. It is not my intent to revisit that which is referred to as a "generation gap", but certainly, underlying motivation does allude to it's existence. The root of the matter should be found in how we arrive at any decision we make in our lives.

    My wife loves to watch the cable channels that feature home designers and decorators in their dual role as designer and entertainer. If we make comparisons of each "artist" and their talents, we may find that one individual takes a more cursory and seemingly effortless approach, while another is more thoughtful and tends to linger upon a decision before activating it. We could assume that the first person is confident in their skill and therefore is not concerned with the thoughts and feelings of the homeowner that they are designing for. This would lead us to a conclusion that the second person is somewhat less confident and may be delaying decisions as they consider how the result will resonate with the homeowner. Although the approach of two different people with two different styles is in play, they always arrive at an acceptable conclusion by remaining within the principles of home decor. This is evidenced by the fact that almost all of the homeowners are seemingly happy with the results. Could it be that the network would simply edit out or not air the homeowners that were unhappy with the redesign. We are just now learning of homeowners that eventually became disheartened or even angry with the quality of craftsmanship that occurred on some of these shows. We must take note that it was the quality of the work and not the design or decor that these homeowners are unhappy with. This proves to my mind that any style or personality inflection can be used to reach a satisfactory result in home decor because you are following a set of rules and guidelines that have already been established that you know you can depend on. Therefore there must be some rule or principle that is abandoned when we see unsatisfactory home decor results. Let us go back to the parent-teen model to further examine our question.

    If we examine the shopping habits of the young and trendy and compare them to the mature and prudent parent, we begin to see a major variance in intention and motivation. The teen is only concerned with temporary appearance. She buys decor items on a whim and instant gratification is the driving force. Is it because she knows her taste in decor will change? Or is it simple economy that drives her choices. She tends to buy decor items that are inexpensive and disposable. Is this an indicator of budget alone? I believe that we could safely assume that it is not budget that drives the decision, but rather the arbitrary and impetuous nature of the teen. She has not yet developed a maturity level that corresponds to the home decor effect she is trying to achieve. She does not yet understand the meaning of Value. As we look toward the parent we see a very different approach in shopping habits. She is an experienced shopper and out of necessity she has learned that not all home decor products have the same value even though they can be similar in price. The driving force for the mature shopper is to research and find a product that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also has an element of durability and craftsmanship. She would rather buy one better quality item than five low quality (or disposable) products. She has more intention of stretching each dollar she spends in order to maximize the final result. Therefore we can assume that the driving factor of decision for the parent is Quality.

    Quality of craftsmanship, durability and low maintenance will usually distinguish a prudent home decorator from an arbitrary designer. I see evidence of this each day as I deal with clients and their choices in flooring products. The consumer that purchases based on factors other than quality will always be disappointed over time. Ignoring quality means that we base our decision on factors that will not stand the test of time. Such as choosing a product on mere color or pattern, without deference to the quality of that item. But quality usually means extra expense. Not always. Buying quality decor items does not always translate into higher prices. It does demand that you research your purchases and don't be shy about questioning salespeople and dealers. Just as there are flooring products that are a better Value for your hard earned dollars, there are other home decor items that offer better quality than others that are close to the same pricing. Ask your consultant to show you the best quality item in your price range. On average, the difference in purchasing quality flooring can be two-hundred to six-hundred dollars, depending on the amount of floor being covered. This represents a substantial variance in the Quality of said flooring. Quality can make a huge difference in your overall satisfaction with a purchase, so it makes absolute sense to pay a little more for something that is built to last and still maintain your budget.

We are living in an era where Oil Prices are driving the condition of our Economy. Overall, this seems to have a negative impact on the prices of every home decor item that we purchase. Flooring prices have nearly doubled in the past two years ("talk about sticker shock"). However, upon examination we find that there are some positive attributes that can only exist at this moment in History and in this present Economy.

    Area Rugs have had a special place in the history of mankind, and the economy of Home Decor. The Medo-Persian Empire is given much credit for ancient trade in area rugs. We have physical evidence of intricate hand-made area rugs from the 1st century BC. Although we perceive that rugs, in the form of fleeces and hand-made rugs of all types of fibers would have been produced and traded before this empire came to power, it was largely their influence that made it a commodity that was traded throughout the known world at that time in history. It would be hard to imagine any caravan traveling from one city to another that would not have been laden with "exotic" area rugs for their high-end clients. That's right, most area rugs in that era would only be affordable to the affluent members of society. In fact, area rugs were not become affordable to the average household until the 19th century AD. That is when machine production, and less expensive fibers would become used in the manufacturing processes of area rugs, eventually making them a more affordable home decor product.

    The economy of area rugs grew by leaps and bounds as machine-made processes reached a point where an imitation of hand-made rugs were affordable by the average middle-income family. In the beginning, these machine-made rugs were using cotton, wool, and even silk fibers. Area rugs became affordable as well as being a well built home decor product. In my estimation, things soon took a turn for the worse with the advent of petroleum based man-made fibers. When nylon fiber (a petroleum based fiber) was first introduced in the manufacture of area rugs, things could not have seemed better. I am trying to keep this short so I will not discuss other man-made fibers that were being experimented with and used. Nylon fiber had shown that it was a great economical replacement for wool, it was also a strong fiber that resisted soil and stains well. Crude oil was plentiful and cheap, so nylon became the "It" fiber for a generation of post-war, economically secure nation of consumers.  It soon became the industry standard for area rugs and wall-to-wall carpet.

    Fast forward a generation or two and oil is beginning to become expensive. This is where the story becomes sad for me. Rug manufacturers begin to use less expensive polypropylene, olefin and polyester fibers. In the beginning these less expensive and inferior fiber rugs were sold as a disposable commodity. The fuzzy bathroom rug and the "welcome" mat in your foyer were never meant to last long or clean well. You simply used them for a season and then tossed them in the garbage where they would begin their journey to the land-fill. Although I still consider these types of rugs to be disposable, the rug industry has managed to convince a generation of consumers that these fibers can be a good alternative to the now more expensive nylon, "after all, they are both man-made fibers" aren't they? Contrary to modern marketing, these fibers will always be considered sub-standard, as far as I am concerned. I was truly appalled when the Big, Brand Name Rug Makers were trying to convince me of the positive attributes of polypropylene and that they could be sold as a high-end home decor product as long as a pretty pattern of colors were printed on them. I see these rugs in the chain-stores and all over the Internet, marketed and sold as if they were a good quality product and part of that is due to our economy. As nylon fiber rugs become more expensive, they will simply pass off a polypropylene rug, as if it were a decent product.

    This is where the good news begins. A very unique circumstance of our economy is the fact that petroleum based, man-made fibers are becoming more and more expensive, while wool fiber has become abundant and economical. This means that you can buy wool fiber area rugs for the same price as nylon, and oftentimes less. Even hand-made wool rugs are competing with machine made nylon rugs. This is a unique time in history. I have extolled the virtues of wool area rugs for many years. Wool area rugs are simply a superior product for your money, and now they are more affordable than ever. Now is the best time to buy a fine wool area rug for your home decor.
